Several picture cards depicting cartoon characters are shuffled and mixed by your spectators to their heart’s content.
One participant then mentally chooses one of the characters to be the chief suspect in a murder mystery, without taking it from the packet, writing it down, or any of the usual ways used by sneaky magicians to help control it and reveal it later. Indeed, having mentally selected any of the characters (no force, no whispering) he loses it again among the rest.
A lady from your audience volunteers to be the Detective on the case to help you solve the murder and you both pass your hands over the piles of picture cards to try and sense where the suspect is hiding amongst the other face down characters.
Please note the cards are not marked and right from the beginning you do NOT see the any of the pictures - no peeking or similar is involved.
Eventually, despite these iron-clad test conditions, your lady Detective miraculously reveals the chief suspect’s picture that the first participant has kept locked inside his own mind!
