Show the faces and backs of three human skeleton picture cards counting them one, two, & three. You explain that the centre one is always playing scary tricks on you. Take him out and show him both sides back and front of his card, then place him back in the centre position again.
To make sure he behaves, you turn the front skeleton to face him, boxing him in between the other two, as you explain the trick you are about to perform.
When you fan the three skeletons again the audience will be telling you that the centre skeleton now has his back towards you. Of course, at first you don’t notice, but when you do, you give the skeleton a good ticking off for spoiling your trick. This can be repeated as many times as you think your audience will enjoy it.
Deciding to start again you put the centre skeleton back in the fan facing the audience once again, and box him in between the other two skeletons. Then again fan the cards out and the audience let now you know that the middle skeleton is now standing on his head upside down for your spooky climax!
